Hey! I'm Jaymar Raquepo, a full stack developer from Manila, Philippines, with 14 years of experience building cool stuff for the web.

I started my journey back in 2007 as a web designer, where I spent countless hours playing around with the DOM in the DHTML era. Then came the rise of frameworks like jQuery and Mootools, which made JavaScript a whole lot more fun and efficient. The “Web 2.0” days were a game-changer too, especially with AJAX revolutionizing how we updated page content.

As the tech world evolved, so did I. I dove into modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Angular, got my hands dirty with backend work using Node.js, and explored NoSQL databases like MongoDB. From web design to full stack development, it’s been a rewarding ride. I’ve built solid front-end foundations, mastered PHP/MySQL, and even led a UI/front-end team delivering awesome web apps for companies in the US, UK, and Australia, including VeriFone, Synergex, Indue/Intuit, and YouTransactor.

Along the way, I also took on some part-time work as a Java developer, where I built utility classes and helped integrate third-party services. It's always been about learning, growing, and taking on new challenges.

RECENT PROJECTS
Projects I have done in the last 3-4 years mostly include of messaging, mobile wallets (airtime loading, bills payment, customer rewards) and remittance applications.

CargoTrans
CargoTrans is a waybill monitoring portal for a trucking company in the United States. It has a web portal that lets administrators efficiently manage and allocate waybills, generate invoices, oversee truck fleets, drivers, destinations, and clientele. One of its standout features is the real-time delivery tracking functionality, enabling administrators to monitor each truck's precise location via an interactive map interface. The application also includes a dashboard for the drivers and co-drivers/sales so they can access their assigned waybills, check destination locations using a built-in map and seamlessly update waybill data as deliveries progress. This application runs on NextJS and uses a MongoDB database deployed on Atlas.

LumiLife
Lumilife is an online platform designed to facilitate connections between Clients/Patients and Professionals. The website encompasses a diverse range of professionals, including Mental Health Therapists, Nutritionists, Relationship Counselors, Financial Coaches, and experts in various other specializations, all of whom offer online consultations. Users can easily search for practitioners based on their specific needs, requesting either an online video call session or a chat with their selected professional. The platform is equipped with a built-in messaging system and video call features, leveraging Node JS for the backend, MongoDB for the database, and ReactJS for the frontend.

EZ Car Manager
EZ Car Manager is a web-based platform that offers comprehensive solutions for car maintenance logging, reminders, and scheduling features. Designed for user-friendly functionality, the website simplifies the process of recording and managing maintenance activities. Users can effortlessly log maintenance items, leveraging odometer updates during fuel fill-ups to monitor maintenance items requiring attention. It also has a reporting tool that enables users to assess their monthly fuel and maintenance expenses with ease. The website runs on the NextJS framework and uses MongoDB for the database.

LoadPal
An airtime load and bills payment app that with rewards elements. It also has a built-in wallet system and a web portal for the administrator and upper level account types. This the first production app I created using React Native.

Starpay
Starpay is a mobile wallet app that can be used to pay bills, buy airtime load, send money, buy gaming PINs and withdraw cash (selected partners). I was tasked with creating the Android app for this project using the Native Android SDK.

CarManager
CarManager started as a personal project to manage and remind me of my car's maintenance items. It can track fuel expenses and consumption. It is also an experiment whether I can create a webview app that has decent performance, use minimal footprint and have a functional backend using Firebase alone. This app is purely written in Javascript, HTML/CSS except for the wrapper native Android app I created to host the webview.

Aquapure System
A web application for a water distribution company in Central Visayas. It features sales recording, automated tank inventory, invoicing, report generation and real-time data/sales monitoring.

Lucky Pabili
A website where OFWs can play the PCSO Small Town Lottery games from abroad. It features push notifications and SMS integration. It also features a web portal for administrator accounts that have their own permissions regarding the operation of the website (Draw Results Encoding, Winners Tracking, Winnings Approval, Transaction Reversals, Etc.

txt Messenger
A messaging platform designed with OFWs in mind. txt Messenger allows its users to send SMS messages to Philippine mobile numbers from abroad by way of virtual mobile number. Recipients in the Philippines can reply for free. Other features include online chat, photo messages, group chat and more.

Hero by Txtxt
Hero is an online business app for OFWs. It allows OFWs to accept bills payment, airtime loading and send gift certificates from other OFWs abroad.

Save 'N Earn
Save N' Earn app is a rewards application for Save N' Earn Wireless customers. A gadget/technology shop in Central Visayas. The apps lets users buy load and pay bills using loyalty points they've accumulated from purchasing items from the physical stores. It also doubles as an e-wallet app as it allows users to topup their credits for processing transactions.

Bayadito DSP (Starpay Corp.)
An internal app used by Starpay agents for topup and collection from partners/stores for their Bayadito service. Aside from collection and retailer features, it also shares common functionalities with the main Starpay app like airtime loading.

It also features offline transactions that can later be synced when data connection is available on the device.

iRegalo
iRegalo gives Filipinos working away from home a worry-free means of providing for their families’ needs. With a few clicks, Filipinos could send flowers, gadgets and appliances to family & friends anywhere in the Philippines. iRegalo users can send EGCs honored at participating hospitals, clinics, drugstores, supermarkets, and other merchant types all over the country.
